The First Annual Alone Together Solo Half-Marathon Invitational By Invitation Only (Open to Everyone)

TFAATSHMIBIOOTE is The First Annual Alone Together Solo Half-Marathon Invitational By Invitation Only (Open to Everyone)

Hey, Jonny here. It's May 1 and we are still in the middle of this pandemic! I don't know about you, but I like food a little too much right about now and need some motivation to burn the calories so I can keep on enjoying yummy stuff without too much guilt. And, I like running, but tend to get lazy about it and therefore need to have a "goal" like a race for motivation to get fit. And there are obviously no races now, so since we can’t run a race together, let’s run it separately and report in to one another about course, date, time, and results. That is what this is!

I figured since everyone will have various work/life/ survival priorities that the race day could be on a day that is convenient for you any day in the last 5 days of June. That should give you enough time to train from practically 0 miles to 13.1. Why a half-marathon? Because it is hard. But it is not meant to scare anyone, only to self-selct those who are motivated. Anyway, there are enough types of entry categories (see below) that training is not really all that important, unless of course you choose to enter in the Silly Walking or Backward Walking/Running category. These categories I would imagine will be for only the most advanced and seasoned racers. Anyway, you can sign up here, on this google form, up until your race day.

Find me on facebook if you want to communicate directly, have questions or have suggestions for how this should go. It only works if you participate!

Entry Fee: Free Dollars

Categories of Entry (all ages)
Mostly Running
Mostly Walking

Training Begins 1 May
Design your own course and “run it” (though is should be 13.1 miles)
Race to be held June 26, 27, 28, 29, or 30(up to you) wherever you are.

“Winners” for each category announced 1 July after all racers have had the chance to run their race.

And by “Winners for Each Category” I mean the following:
